Fish Files – 2 clips

Monday, March 12th, 2007

here are 2 clips. First one contains my newest fish: a yellow albino peacock cichlid. Check out the way it feeds! so cool… it sucks the food in…and you can see bubbles coming from its gills after each time it attacks the water surface!

The second one is about two fighting fish fighting…one’s red and the other is blue… the blue one wasn’t mating…so I found out that there could be a chance of triggering its mating instincts by letting it fight…so… fight lo… enjoy!

this few days.

BASKETBALL!! bahaha…I just can’t resist not to write about this…

Yesterday during ECA, I expressed interest in playing basketball…so my friend, Swee Yao, which incidentally is my primary school mate…and was also in the school’s basketball team with me…he went and asked a F5 guy called Andy… and Andy…haha… and…andy? anyway…Andy went to ask his supervising teacher who gave us 10 mintutes of play time…

PLAY BALL!!…it was pure nostalgia then… it was like I was playing in my primary school’s team again…this time I’m taller… with thicker glasses… and I was wearing track pants… there was a feeling of insecurity at first… I haven’t been playing basketball… so, felt inferior to the others… plus the guys we played against were really good!!!

10-7 …yup! that’s the score! We won! haha…besides being severely under-estimated by the younger team…they were intimidated by us(because we’re superbly handsome…haha…kidding…hey! wait…no…I am handsome!! because I have some hands…2 to be exact…) …I guess because once they saw what we could do…they were surprised… one guy told me later he didn’t think I look like a person who could play basketball…and you know what? I blew him away with the first ball which was insanely hilarious to me… once I got the ball in the red zone…that same guy raise his hands up to prevent me from shooting… my game is usually filled with tricks…because I don’t play well…so I’ve to use more of my brains to play(not that I can dribble with neurons)…

I frantically shifted left and right…left and right…just to see how he’d react…at first he thought I was going to pass to the his left…then he thought I’d tricked him and wanted to take the shot from his right…then suddenly… he lowered his arms a bit…and stood back a bit to his left…I realised that…so I dribbled a small step to his right…and took my time to shoot….SCORE!!! bahaha!!! he thought I didn’t know how to play!!…and when I looked at his face…it was priceless!!! He looked dumbfounded!!! BAHAHAHA!!!

well that was in the morning…that made my day… I still have flashbacks of that extremely satisfying game even until today!! haha… had to apologise to God for being distracted by that game while I was hanging out with Him… goodness…haha…
As for the afternoon of yesterday, it was work, work, work…preparing the PA system for ELS’s Talent Time…. rented the PA(including drums/guitars/bass/keyboards/amps) for a really really cheap price because we provided the Lemon’s Musical with our own PA guys as helpers (who ended up running most of the stuff)… we packed, we loaded, shifted, lifted, set-up, fixed, test, troubleshot, test, troubleshot, had rehearsal, troubleshot some more, jammed….worshipped.

Had a chance to worship God in the school hall after everyone left except Kishan, Joshua and King Chai…although it would’ve been nice if the Holy Spirit decended heavily, but it didn’t happen…but I believe that something happened in the spiritual realm that day… we declared Jesus’ lordship…and we were fighting a spiritual battle….

next day we did some more setting up, clearing up, testing, troubleshooting, testing, started the programme, tested some more…(boy, this is a long entry, it’s all speed typing’s fault)… troubleshot some more, packed up, shifted, transported… praise God that every time there was a problem, He’d make things fine after a short prayerer… He is really merciful and great…. thanks God!

Now to get back to studys… sigh…haha…have loads to do…but trying to keep Sabbath… that’s why I’m here….blogging… resting…

p.s. today is the last day of Chinese New Year, so tomorrow we’ll be wishing each other a Happy Chinese Old Year!! dong dolong dong chang!! (localised drum roll for chinese comedians! Woohoo!)
